A Group 4 Security guard was robbed at gunpoint outside a supermarket yesterday in Kimarnock, Ayrshire.
The robbery took place at around 1.15pm outside the front entrance of Tesco in Kilmarnock. The raider reportedly made off with a five-figure sum.
This comes just over a week after another robbery outside ASDA in the Ayrshire town.
Police said it was too early to tell if the two robberies were connected.
In yesterday's raid, a man in a khaki anorak and woolly hat demanded money from the guard, who was stocking cash machines. The robber is said to have escaped in a green Vauxhall Cavalier.
