A HERO policeman , who won a bravery award for saving a man from a burning flat, is being investigated, but has not been suspended, after claims he sprayed CS gas in the face of a 12-year-old boy at Cumnock,Ayrshire.
Robert Esquierdo is seeking justice after he says he and his son were hit with the gas after the PC pulled over his car. He claims it happened after he refused to get into the officer's car on Ayr Road, Cumnock,Ayrshire earlier this month. He has complained to his MSP, Justice Minister Cathy Jamieson, who has written to Chief Constable William Rae.
Strathclyde Police said they are investigating a complaint. CS spray causes temporary blindness and shortage of breath, streaming eyes, a running nose, blisters and burns and it has killed suspects.
