"A Man's a Man for all that!" - Rabbie Burns

"Religion? No thanks. I prefer not to outsource my brainwashing."
Trying to get your average Joe creationist to understand the phrase scientific theory is as hard as getting a fish to enjoy mountaineering. Its an unimagined world for them - it requires a complete reversal of their normal modes of thinking and being. The fact that humans could explain the complexities of this world without a creating God is a world view they cannot grasp. It's like asking a tuna if it appreciates the view from the top of Mount Everest.

White Christmas in Ayrshire

Snow Field New Cumnock Ayrshire
Snow covered Field New Cumnock Ayrshire
Frozen Rivers and bare trees Ochiltree AyrshirePhotographs of a frozen river and trees and some snow blanketed fields in Ayrshire. I like the way the milky winter sun comes through the trees. Taken just outside Ochiltree Ayrshire and between Cumnock and New Cumnock Ayrshire.

It's still hovering around 0c during the day and well below zero at night. there is more snow forecast for later today so I should get plenty more chances to take some more White Christmas photos before it thaws.

Although the snow is a bit of a nuisance for travelling it makes everything look wonderful particularly when the sun is shining and it's a nice crisp winters day.

We have white Christmas here in Arkansas, too.... first one in several years. We only got about 1/4 inch. We lucked out, though. For the first time ever, there were blizzard warnings as far south as as Dallas, Texas. The little we got was from the same storm system and we are quite a bit further north than Dallas.

Very pretty pictures!

Happy holidays and best wishes for a great 2010!!!!!.

Great photographs Bunc. Have a great time and many snow ball fights. It is cold here, but not snowing. I am however snowed under with Christmas goodies left for us from well wishers who think that a three single men home needs some sustenance.

Lovely, but ok, snow, you can go now. Thanks for stopping by and for the white Christmas n'all that but here's your hat, where's your hurry?

It's like the relative who decides to stay for another week.....
