"A Man's a Man for all that!" - Rabbie Burns

"Religion? No thanks. I prefer not to outsource my brainwashing."
Trying to get your average Joe creationist to understand the phrase scientific theory is as hard as getting a fish to enjoy mountaineering. Its an unimagined world for them - it requires a complete reversal of their normal modes of thinking and being. The fact that humans could explain the complexities of this world without a creating God is a world view they cannot grasp. It's like asking a tuna if it appreciates the view from the top of Mount Everest.

Anti -Creationism Cartoons

If you haven't seen these before I strongly urge you to check out these anti-creationism cartoons They are all very pointed and accurate and had me almost rolling around the floor laughing. Sometimes a bit of humour can make the point even better than a well reasoned argument.

This brought to mind the fact that the anti-Christian enlightenment began with Voltaire in the 18th century as a French scoffing exercise. It doesn't seem that much has changed over the centuries.

Anyway, thanks for the entertainment.

Hmmm, Bunc must be having too much fun in his real life to bother with his blog. I'm jealous!
