"A Man's a Man for all that!" - Rabbie Burns

"Religion? No thanks. I prefer not to outsource my brainwashing."
Trying to get your average Joe creationist to understand the phrase scientific theory is as hard as getting a fish to enjoy mountaineering. Its an unimagined world for them - it requires a complete reversal of their normal modes of thinking and being. The fact that humans could explain the complexities of this world without a creating God is a world view they cannot grasp. It's like asking a tuna if it appreciates the view from the top of Mount Everest.

Oh dang, I must not have copied the whole thing. I didn't realize until reading yours that I didn't have "favorite holiday" on my list.

I'm still thinking about the khaki socks. I have never seen a khaki sock! :)

Oh wait....I went back and I did have it. But in America, we think of the word "holiday" as referring to a National holiday. We refer to the kind you spoke of as "vacation". I do understand when people from other countries use the word that way, but I forgot when I read your answer.....duh me.

You can expect mine on the 22nd. I've already got posts planned until then.

Planned posts? Hey Marf you are an organised little blogger. I just realised I have made four posts today. Not like me. I should have spread them out over a couple of days maybe. Now I will have nothing to say for weeks. ( LOL - fat chance!)

@ Bunc: Well, over here in the states Obama is finally sworn in on the 20th.

And the 21st has its own special importance to me.

But yeah, I try to spread things out so I always have something to say. I don't like to blow it all in one day then have nothing for tomorrow.
